After a few legal hurdles, writer Alex George Pickering is moving full speed ahead on the comic book series/graphic novel adaptation of Heard, based on his award-winning screenplay inspired by his son Ethan!

It has been a long and hard-fought journey to get Heard off the ground, but I am beyond excited to announce that I have completed the scripts for the highly anticipated four-issue comic book series (and eventual graphic novel). The talented Andrea Lorenzo Molinari (The Shepherd) of Scout Comics is working with me as editor (thanks to West Moon Chronicle author Frank J. Kim's wonderful recommendation). Acclaimed artist Joe Bocardo has also joined the Heard team as our official illustrator! Below is his first sketch of Owen Mayfield, the protagonist of Heard —a character inspired by my amazing son, Ethan. Joe even used Ethan's photos for reference! Chronicling the harrowing survival adventure of a neurodiverse child hero and his father, we hope to break a few glass ceilings in the comic book world and beyond!

Issue number one of Heard will be arriving in the coming months! Also, the team will be hiring its official colorist and letterer soon.
